bike rides, t2aa stupid (also about to send NL8) - 2001-06-27 - Entry 100 - TOGoS's Journal

For the past 4 to 6 days, up until yesterday, I've been going for a bike ride every night. The Night before last, I followed the to-be-built-someday South Corridor bike trail down past the bridge. It was getting really dark, so I headed back, and for some reason I wasn't very happy about it (I think it was just because it was so dark). I got back on Seminole, and then took the Capital City trail back home.

The night before that (Sunday) (I think) I had gone up to that park at the top of raymond and ridden my bike around the path (it was dark), and then got lost a little bit coming home.

I think it was the night before that (Saturday) that I went out to Verona on that newly finished section of the trail, wandered around the suburbs a little bit, and then went south and got lost in the country. I'm not sure where I went. I first went over Verona Road to the south, then turned right and went into this real pretty woodsy area, then turned left, crossed PB, kept going, and eventually came to a highway about the size of PB (M?). I turned left onto that, and found that it met PB just south of the intersection with Verona road. I didn't want to go that way, so turned back. The sun was setting, and I turned left onto a smaller road, which I think turned out to be fitchrona. I turned off of that to the right, because I wanted to find the SC bike trail and take that home. I finally came to some road (it was dark by now) which I turned left onto and went into fitchburg. I turned right, then left onto OZMUNSEN or something. I took that back somewhere, went on a little paved trail to the left, then to the right because going left I had just run into a school. I then came to a downhill, which I followed. I then went up a hill, and ended up back at OZMUNDSEN right where I started, so turned back and went up and down and around and ended up on PD (east of the SC trail, by the way, so I must have crossed it at some point). Then I went home (over the tressel on my bike).

Maybe the night before that, or before that, I had taken the Capital City trail around (counter-clockwize) and gone through the Arboretum. That was neat, and it wasn't as long as I remembered it. I think it's a lot easier to go that way than the opposite.

I wrote a spiffy program yesterday (t2aa) which converts text to pretty ASCII graphics, and one the day before that (stupid CGI) which does Davida's stupid thing via CGI.
