X-mas - 2007-12-26 - Entry 1006 - TOGoS's Journal

I spent most of Christmas lying around in YC's apartment, walking home, getting picked up by YC, driving back to 319, and back again to YC's place, where I layed around some more. Around 18:00 YC finally felt up to coming back to the folks' house with me, where we had a late Christmas dinner and present opening.

I got a 5 channel * 100-watt amp / reciever / also does many other weird things that I don't really need. I think Dad said it was the simplest they could find. If it doesn't work out for basement mini-clubbing (I'll need some different speakers first),

I also got a lot of socks, pants, a fancy shirt, a Tajar book, 7 bus tickets, and some other stuff. Jon also got a big pile of presents, but hasn't seen it yet. YC got stamps, sweaters, wool socks, kitty pins, and snow boots that were too small (so my dad is taking them back and swapping for larger ones).

Nobody else wanted much, but they got stuff anyway. Dad got beer. YC and I stayed overnight and had a make-up Christmas breakfast in the morning. I was 4 hours late to work, but nobody cares.

I dreampt about walking with some guys I knew to a small town on a hill. We went into a building and down some stairs to a dark room with chairs and little colored lights, like some kind of club. I was trying to take pictures with my camera.

I woke up in a room similar to the playroom in my parents basement, but a bit wider and divided down the middle. On one side of the divide it was somewhat dark and had my couch by it and some shelves of old audio equippment. At the end to the left of the couch the room opened up and had a white plastic table and some chairs. This place was pretty quiet when I woke up in the morning, but through most of the day it was full of loud college students, since we shared this basement with them.

The stairs led up to the end of a small road lined with houses. The road turned to the left, and on the outside of the turn was our house. I walked past it, towards the gate to our area, but ran into Atticus and walked with him back to our house. I had never thought about it before, but our house had a pretty large yard. Bigger than our yard at 575, and certainly bigger than our yard at 319 (where we have a parking lot instead of a yard). I realized that that was pretty nice, especially considering that these houses that shared a disconnected basement were supposedly the equivalent of dorms at this college. 'This college' was a small UW campus, like Platteville or Whitewater. They were somewhat famous because of this one actress who had just come from there.
