Ringworld, movies (xXx, Austin Powers 3, K-PAX), dreams: expensive guitar, cartoon escalators, quake-engine castle with swimming pools and baby slinger - 2002-08-12 (Monday) - Entry 201 - TOGoS's Journal

On Saturday morning I was dreaming that I had checked out Ringworld from the library and was using it to fill in the gaps in Larry_Niven-Ringworld.html. I woke up to Tim calling me. We and his sister and some girl and some guy who I should know his name by now went to triple-X and then to Austin Powers 3 (we only payed for triple-X). I came home afterwards to watch K-PAX with mom and eat white chocolate chunks instead of hanging around Tim's house. Oh well.

I also went to Woodman's to return the movie, and couldn't find the shampoo that Mom had wanted me to get. It wasn't in the shampoo section and I couldn't find any 'baby' section. But I did find my duct tape at about 5:07 Sunday morning. It was under my dresser, with the boots. I thought I had looked there. It was an obvious place to look. Blah.

Taugher's a fuckhead. Or at least his mum is.

Monday morning I had some dreams. In one, I was buying a guitar. It was 677.96$, I think. First we went through the warehouse of this store on the far south west corner of Madison, where we picked it up. I was walking down a road to the rest of the store, and there was some girl with me and we were talking about stuff. She was nice. Mom convinced me not to buy the guitar. As we were driving home on the road along the south edge of Madison, I realized we had another guitar. It was black. I didn't know where it came from, but it was in the van. Then I found the place where you could hook up an audio cable and a MIDI cable to it. I was wondering how it would work with MIDI.

In another dream, I was walking by the south side of the church with Mom, and there was snow all over the ground. We had to get to the other side of a barbed-wire fence, and decided to just use the gate (about 20 feet away) instead of trying to climb over. Then there was some girl with a calculator. She was showing us a game. I was playing the game. It was a multi-player networked game, and I was running around in a place that looked like a bowling alley. There were escalators, and the game looked like a weirdly-drawn cartoon - all the walls were curved funny. The escalator I was on just went up and up and twisted this way and that and it reminded me of a dream I had had. There was something about a Subway (resturaunt).

There was a castle, and Dawne was visiting. Next door there was a lake with ice in the middle that a person could walk on, and in our front yard, by the street, was nice warm sandy mud. It was like I was designing a wuake level. The castle was also like some fancy hotel. It had a swimming pool out in front (only a couple feet deep, so not really a swimming pool). There was also a bigger swimming pool closer to the castle, which you could actually dive into. You could even dive in from the roof. I tried it once, and decided it was too easy to get hurt. There was a baby in an elastic swing thingy. We had to shoot him over the castle so he would land in the pool behind the castle, but I guess the pool back there hadn't been compiled right because people just fell right through it and into the void. So I had to build a new one, but it was still hard to get the baby to go into the pool. Then I realized that we could just move him out to the side of the castle and shoot him horizontally. That would work. But I was waking up by then.

On Monday I checked out Ringworld from the library and used it to fill in the gaps in Larry_Niven-Ringworld.html.
