dreams - 2002-12-30 (Monday) - Entry 249 - TOGoS's Journal

It seems strange how all of the dreams I've had lately have taken place at or near Glenspew. In this one, we were driving. I guess we started south of Glenview, but we were driving around just south of the equator. Like in New Mexico. The sky was purple there. The sun looks really big when it's setting.

Go on field trip in 7th grade. people who did something bad have to dig. they have to keep digging, like a long tunnel complex. drag in lights and pumps. dig six stories down. i design them a system to bring them water. it comes through what is called "the sewer", even though it brings clean water in, not dirty water out. i don't have to dig. i get to leave.

i meet some girl that i like to sit with at glenspew she wants me to do this thing where i can breathe hard and turn into a dragon or something. she can do it. while we leave we go past table with the upper-classfolk. Tom's there. they sit higher up... she says something about on a higher layer. i remember the people in the hole. somehow i know that something bad has happened. we go back there, and i tell my friend to stay at the top. i go down into hole. the teachers have become evil, and have made the kids slaves. they have to work to get their food and water. and now i'm trapped down there. The room is like a big gymnasium. And it has windows along the tops of the long walls. It was really bright before, so it was just white light coming in, but later you could see the busses outside, taking everyone else home, while we were stuck here.

It doesn't really make sense. It's some university building, and it's not underground. at least not from the back. This all takes place near a parking lot. So I'm running around outside, and I get this great idea. I'll go into the room where everyone is (going through a door in the back of the building), and maybe I can find a stairway up to the net floor. I can knock on the door and someone might come help us. So I go in and find a stairway and go up, but the doors aren't even locked. This seemed too easy.

I was outside. "Well we're safe now!", I said something like to the person who was with me (I'm Homer, he's Bart). Then I look up and a big sphere (a comet or something) is coming down to destroy us. Right straight down onto our heads. But maybe it'll miss. It just misses, and goes on to just miss the moon. But that was so close. So I have it screw up the orbit and there's hecticness. Then the moon crashes into the Earth.

I woke up on my bed in my dorm room. I was worried I might be missing a final if I kept sleeping, but it was only 6:43, so I thought I'd write down my dreams. Instead of writing them into the doke directory, I was writing them on a piece of paper in block letters with different colors. Actually writing chunks on different pieces of paper and then gluing them on. It was really stupid. I only got as far as "we were going on a field trip in 7th grade". Then I thought that no, it was 8th grade. And I had written 6th. I stopped using block letters and started writing normally, in pencil, but then I had to go...

I drove down Mineral Point, past Memorial towards the intersection. I designed a pretty glass building. On the mall corner of the intersection. It was just a plastic rectangular box, but I added my slightly tinted square glass windows inside and I was adding plants to make it pretty. I was thinking about how just having it darker inside (winted glass) made it much nicer. This woman was sitting inside, up above the street, like the floor in there was about 5 feet above the road. She was talking to this guy. Maybe her boyfriend. She wanted him to get her some caraway cheese. And then they'd sit there in bamboo chairs with all their plants and eat the cheese and it would be nice.

There is a set of games for the dreamcast under the name "Club Game". They take place in a castle.

there's an original game, and a bunch of others that take place in the same place, except they couldn't just copy the levels, so it was hard to make it the same.

in the second game, you were this little red guy (now that I'm awake I realize it was the BSD daemon)

I meet a couple of racoons or something. they tell me they're 'serpients' or something. The game is more pixilated than it should be.

I go out a door into the real world. guys stanging around by vending machines

"5003?"

"What are you talking about, kid?"

"no i mean 2003?"

The microwave clock says "2080"

"no. it's really 2003, isn't it?", I say to the mean-looking guy. I go upstairs. I have a knife in my hand. a bunch of women dressed up in those outfits where you can only see their eyes. police everywhere. I know that this is 2080. I'm probably doing something wrong. one police notices me. I run back down the stairs and into the game. if they follow me they'll have a hard time finding me. I run into the game club headquarters. and try to find the entrance to the game. All I find is the server room, and now the po-pos are knocking on the door. they shoot through it and a bullet hits the guy who was going to answer the door in the eye. But he's OK, since it's his game. Someone else gets a gun and shoots the po-po through the door. The we get out a gatling gun and go outside (outside the HQ door is outside, now, with a sidewalk leading to a road, instead of just going to a series of rooms in the game). We start shooting up their car with the gatling gun. Sometimes we hit other people, but since they're from the game they don't get hurt. Or something. They were OK, anyway.

Tonight we watched Titan AE, which was interesting. We then watched the BBC news, and a show with David Attenwhathisface (The Living Planet guy) about Easter Island, which was also interesting. I found Ren and Stimpy on channel 108 (the Nick Toon channel). Then I watched a few episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants, which were pretty funny.
