2004-03-25 - Entry 440 - TOGoS's Journal

The night before I came back to school (or maybe the night before) I had a dream about the UW-Platteville campus. It was absolutely nothing like it is in real life. Actually, it was totally huge. And not really a campus, either. It was more like a landscape I might come up with for ZDoom if it supported such huge, awesome places. At one point I think I was flying around in an airplane with some people. Or else we were at the top of a high hill or a cliff. There was a mountain maybe a mile away that had been carved into the shape of a pig. It had been built by some fraternity or something, and we were going to go over and bother them. Or something. It was a really cool place, though.

Now, at the south-west corner of all this was where the dorms and academic buildings and things were. There was a tall ridge that went around the south and west sides, and this is where you would normally come into campus (from the south-east). There were a couple dorms at the top of the ridge, and one of them was my old dorm, but to get to most of them, including the one I was currently in, you would take a right and drive down towards the bottom of the valley, as all the other buildings were down in that direction, but not at the bottom. There were a couple streams that went down the hill and under some roads and by the dorms. I was exploring one day and found that one of them carried sewage from the dorms to the treatment plant. I thought it'd be cool to set up a 'sewage cam' over the stream.

OK, I gotta update this with the rest of that night's dreams and 2 more, but right now I'm going to boot into DOS and check out the Doom Alphas. :) - 2003-04-25

Pfft. Win2k doesn't seem to come with DOS.

Anyway, after that we were going to see a movie in Doudna. Except it was all overpriced and fancy. I was using a Doom editor to move some walls around. There were these square, transparent columns that I diddled with a little bit.
