2005-01-21 - Entry 576 - TOGoS's Journal

I didn't have to get up much this morning (I only have SE411 at 15:00), so I slept for a long time.

In my dreams it was as if I was reliving my life backwards and messed up. First It had me making Quake levels. Which is something I never did. I was messing around and making a place where the sky changed as you went from one part of the level to the other. Meanwhile Mom and Dad were talking behind me. Mom was asking me when would I ever get done playing this game. Someone else was there and they were asking what happened to the tiled room. I figured they were talking about the bathroom and went over to the part of the level that looked like SHMS. Except the bathroom was down in the middle of the hallway instead of at the end. And I was thinking that, though I didn't remember a bathroom there, it did seem faintly familiar. But I was going in and moving brushes around (this being my Quake level). I was making green blocks that sort of floated around in the sky, and that was really screweing the guy up. Later I was looking into a large cavish room, thinking about how they had to limit the colors to do shading nicely using only a 256 color palette, and looking at the way the green fog faded and interacted with the colors on the wall.

Then there were my hamsters and gerbils. I couldn't really tell them apart. Uf was there, and whenever I tried to take the gerbils out they would try to run off. Hammy was there, too. I though 'oh good. this time I won't put that particle board on top of their cage or do other stupid things'. For some reason this seemed to take place out in the middle of a road.

And then it was right after Heather had come home from the hospital after her accident... I don't remember much else about it, but it felt very mysterious, and sort of blended into the last part...

...where I came home from Platteville (we went through some tunnels and stuff and maybe went through a different part of my Quake levels), but then I couldn't figure out what time of the year it was. It couldn't be summer again, could it? I just came back from winter break like less than a month ago. Mom was talking on the phone to Lindy and I was listening on another phone. Someone said to me "well it only is a month long", and I didn't know if they were talking about summer break or winter break or the time between or what. Very confused, I was.
