Central Hostel, Chunnel, Anti-lossage - 2007-06-13 09:25 - Entry 935 - TOGoS's Journal

2007-06-04 (Monday)

We all slept with our earplugs in so that we wouldn't be kept up by the guy that was rumored to snore. This may have been the best sleep we got since we got that private room in Cork. But now my back's now bug-bitten and itches.

I dreampt that we had given up on our trip and flew home early. I was bumming around home super bored. I went back to my desk at Widen and started working for free because I didn't have anything better to do. I really wished we were still in Europe. It was good to wake up.

We walked to the Tower of London. Going in wasn't worth the 13 for each of us that tickets cost. Blarney castle kicks the crap out of this place.

We slept at Leinster Inn last night. A-Day lost his camera. Now we walk towards Waterloo station.

I had a funny dream that I was watching a Star Trek movie where they were getting shelled while trying to cross this field. I think Spock was put in charge of a rocket launcher, because he had good aim. Shells that landed nearby didn't seem to do much damage.

We got to the Waterloo train station at about 14:00. Our train wasn't scheduled to leave until 19:43 so we found a nearby internet shop and e-mailed for an hour before attempting to book any Paris hostel, giving us only a half hour until the place closed. So we ended up not booking anything because we only saw one place with openings and for various reasons we didn't want to book that one.

We spent out last s getting food and milkshakes and drinking yogurt, and then got bothered by a guy in the park that sucked and dumped out our drink that we offered him.

I thought I had lost my bag of toothpaste/floss/desenex, but while we were hanging out in the station I found it in my bag. Further through station security A-Day discovered his camera deep in a pocket. Later on the train we discovered that pictures he thought were lost were not.

Stuff that's been lost:

20 minutes through the chunnel. Now we're in northern France. :E
