Game21 - 2016-03-25 - Entry 6 - TOGoS's Project Log

So I want to make this game.

I want it to have mazes with weird topology. I want the environments to be highly interactive. I want to blur the boundaries between the game and the real world by having machines in the game be connected to the real internet. I want it to run in the browser so I can send the link to people and have it just work. I want it to be extendable so that whatever ideas I come up with I can quickly implement them. I want awesome-looking parallax backgrounds.

I've been trying to do this for a long time. The latest incarnation is called "Game21". I got the impulse to start working on it while going for a run in Florida, and right now it's a directory full of <canvas>-based graphics demos.

If I can pull myself away from Factorio long enough, maybe I can make something worth showing.

In the meantime, here's a graphics demo in which I've abused the nascent tile-rendering system in order to draw blobs all over and light them up with spinning lights and lightning.
