Thread to Vega - 2013-02-08 14:32 - Entry 1307 - TOGoS's Journal

I was playing some RTS with Joh and some other people. It was obviously inspired by TA, and had all the TA units, but in addition to the CORE and ARM robots, there were animals and wizards and different things. We were saying we liked playing against robots because we didn't feel as bad about blowing them up.

Sometime during the game we got distracted and flew to some planet orbiting Vega and attached it by a thread to Earth. Back on Earth I was taking a shower and using water imported from Vega through the thread (it was very tiny, though, so it must have taken forever to pump enough water through to take a shower). And we were now in contact with people who lived there, and that was very exciting. While I was biking downtown to meet some people to go skiing I stopped at a bar near Michael's Frozen Custard (because I was early and wanted coffee). I saw they had some yummy flavored coffee and tried to order it, but they said neither of those containers had enough to serve me, and their only other option was some other, more boring coffee. I was trying to talk them into just pouring the remnants of those two containers together when I got distracted talking to a guy at the bar about how exciting it was that we were now in contact with this other civilization on Vega.

And Washington state was just today becoming a state. I was there and I had a leftover half of a cake sitting around, so I got it out and cut it up to give to people that happened to be around me to celebrate. We were standing around the end of a fance at the side of a road on top of a snowy slight hill with a forest at the bottom.

A bunch of politicians were sitting at a long table. Hillary Clinton was among them. They were trying to do something cool but the Republicans were going to block it. I got the idea to work around their block by cutting the table in half, parallel to its surface. This made the Republicans very angry. Hillary laughed.
