sicky - 2002-12-14 (Saturday) - Entry 242 - TOGoS's Journal

Last night I got kinda sick. After I came back from Fizz's place at abot 3:00 my nose was all runny and I was getting a headache and all my legs were sore. I was working on the TRServer. Later I watched Frasier and the Simpsons and all that stuff and eventually went to sleep on my bed and did some crazy REMming. I had some dreams involving me raking Mr. Hess's lawn and some guy who put on a space suit and started swimming around in a swamp where he met a mermaid who told him to eat some plant so he did but then she said she was just kidding and he shouldn't really eat that. I woke up at about 8:00 something and got up and walked around and blew my nose and dranks some water and got more headached and then went back to sleep on Bob's couch, where I had more dream.

In this one, some yutz at church decided it would be a good idea to get a new building. We all got on a school bus and he drove us out to show us where it was. It was this place out by Dodgeville. There was a lake, and the lake was surrounded by mountains. There were no roads around the lake, so we were just driving over muddy swampy ground. I was surprised that the bus could manage it. We had to drive most of the way around the lake, and then drive up into the mountains on one side. We never really got to the church... the dream kinda changed. Now it was winter. We were still up on the hill, and it was all snowy. I was Bart. Somehow I managed to get lost. The yutz was all panicky and stuff. Lisa cama and found me, and it was all good. But the yutz insisted that I was still lost and refused to take us home. So I yelled at him and just started walking. I walked for a while back down the road but came to a metal fence that they had up because they were doing road construction (151), so started walking back. It wasn't mountainy like it was before, and there was no lake. It was night time. There was a church next to the road, between where I was and where the bus was (with the yutz). I didn't have any shoes on, and the ground was all gravelly and covered with ice and snow, but it didn't bother me. I don't know why I was walking back toward the bus (it was quite a ways away, but I seemed to be able to move around really quickly), but I soon turned back around and was heading home again. This time I just climbed over the fences. It was lighter out, now, like early morning or evening, and the (incomplete) road I was on ended. Ahead and to my left there was a canyon that they had dug out doing their construction. Across to my left, the road continued. I climbed over the fence and down into the canyon. There were big trucks driving back and forth, and it was kinda scary, just because everything around me was so big. I was afraid someone might not see me and run me over. I kept walking (or maybe running? it was all very fast, anyway) and came to where the highway was finished. It was more like a bobsled track, though. I was running along it...

I worked on TRServer and made it usable, but then found out that windows sucks at doing IO so I think I'll eventually have my linux box be the one on the network and have it be a proxy (I could make the TRServer the proxy!)

It seems I haven't mentioned how listening to Underworld reminds me of the time I walked way down south on what used to be the railroad tracks. That's because I was thinking Cowgirl in my head as I was walking, I think.

Noe I'm digging up some old artwork out of the archives and putting it places. Gotta go finish REBOL ppr, too.
