Bionic Commando, Star Wars dreams - 2004-01-24 (Saturday) - Entry 422 - TOGoS's Journal

Real interesting dreams last night, adter I fell asleep afterstaying up until about 22:00 working on ConfigScript.

I had made a bunch of rip-offy (but nice enough) tracks and uploaded them to my web site. For some reason I was playing them directly off the website. Maybe I was watching a bug repellant commercial then or something. There was this family sitting by a tree and not getting eaten by bugs. Then it was my family and I was with them. And repeatedly streaming my 'Will I' rip-off off my web site. I realized that one of my links went to a pr0n site. I hoped that I could remove that before anyone saw it. I was driving in the car. I was going down Hammersley as if going home from Woodmans. I got to Whitney way and there were cars coming, so I had to wait for them to go by. And in the meantime, John and Neil were scampering across. As I was going back up the other side (towards Gilbert), somehow I was using the car like a motorcycle, and then it turned into a sk8 board. I was with Fizz and some other guys, and I was just learning to ride it. Some guy had just bought a nintendo game that came with this fancy gun sight. When I got home Dad was showing me this alternate version of Bionic Commando, telling me that it might help with the controller problems. I didn't know how software could make the controller work better, but I gave it a try. I started it up and it looked a lot like an old DOS-based help program, using different background colors for the top, middle, and bottom parts of the screen. Except maybe it had some pictures at the top. It was telling the story behind the game, which was obviously more thought-out than that in the regular BC. When I finally got into the game, it looked a lot like BC. It took me straight into a level, no global map. The way blocks were set out and stuff, it looked a bit more like mario 3 or something. The levels also reminded me stronly of those in Zelda 2. Bionic seemed a little bit larger and less detailed, but he had more positions he could be in, and his motion was more fluid. I was going around shooting out breakable walls and things. At one point I died and had to start over. I asked my Dad when it was made and he was looking through the manuals and stuff. It turned out it had been made in 1979, as opposed to 1986 or whenever the reg'lar BC was made. Which was surprising because this one seemed more fancy than the regular one. After I played this for a while it turned into a Star Wars sequel. Except it didn't suck. But it was still a Nintendo game, and then it was stuffed with these vidoes of dragons and stuff. I was quite impressed. Then I was running around trying not to let the Government find me. Or something. I had this room with matresses in it. The one matress that was horizontal had its own control room with a guy in it, and people under it with big yellow foam things. One of themn was Fizz's roommate. We went and looked at them, and hoped they wouldn't stab us in the faces or anything.

Then I was in my living room, and the couch and the little round table were where they used to be, and I was at the edge f the couch working on something on the table. Then Deb was there, asking me about the upcoming mission trip. I told her how I'd really *like* to go. Then we were by this volcano that had just erupted the day before or something. There was still ash falling from the sky.

Then I was in a class with this teacher. We had turned in an assignment, and I thought I had done well, but when we got it back he had all my dates circled and had comments about them. It seemed he didn't like the way I had written my dates because his computer that corrected the tests didn't recognise them and he had to look at it by hand.
