more new CDs, customers, a finished TB test, and a new video card, 128MB RAM, and a Wireless-G card - 2004-07-29 - Entry 506 - TOGoS's Journal

Yeah, I bought that stuff.

Except the CDs, of course.

And the customers...Sorta.

Now that I have this fancy new video card, Cube (that link currently redirects me to gomjabber.de) works very nicely. I should see how Orbiter handles...

Meh.

Maybe I'll see if MilkDrop or Monkey work especially well.

Well, I can set Milkdrop to run on the desktop with unlimited framerate with no problems. Starts chugging if I make transparent WinAmp windows, though. And Explorer windows don't seem to hurt it much, while terminal windows, do. Hmmm... I'm thinking it has something to do with needing to communicate with the CPU and main memory or not. Uhhhh wait. If I *maximise* the thing first, then it's happy. Weird. Oh, well. This transparent window stuff is cool. I think I'll just leave MilkDrop running back there :)

Reason seems to have detected that I have new hardware. It's making me show it my CDs and registration code.

I was going to plug my fancy video card into the TV. Then I realized that it has no composite video output. I think I'll go back to the last entry and write down those dreams that I've been meaning to. But not before reading about loudspeakers.
