Sidegrading compys - 2006-06-02 8:06 - Entry 792 - TOGoS's Journal

I've gotten in the habit of giving these things purposely obscure titles (this one was going to be "He doesn't know the danger". It would have sounded cool while referring to a turtle I saw on my way home yesterday that had crossed the bike path). Unfortunately giving obscure titles has the effect of I can't find my old entries based on title anymore.

After I came home yestrday dad wanted to clean up the computer situation in my room (having 4 computers in there), and we got to work giving my Linux server SCUM responsibilities. Turned out we didn't actually need to give it a new sound card, and the 200GB disk drive I was about to put in there I put in my Windows box instead. So really, the Windows machine was the only one to get physically upgraded, and that was a bit of a pain since whoever designed the case seemed to have riveted things together *after* putting the original disk drive in there, making it and the floppy drive impossible to get out. So I left those things in and sort of nested the new drive between some IDE cables (as there was no free bay to put it in).

I had a dream that I was hanging with the roomies again. Somehow I had this little knife that was way too sharp. I was with Fizz, maybe looking for the others and ended up with about a bajillion bloody cuts all over my neck.

I have to come in to work tomorrow to help with Edge, yo.

Also, togos-lin finished copying MP3s from Scum, and a book I'm reading at work has made me want to stick Crapi in SVN.
