Sun Prarie, Transformers - 2007-09-08 21:01 - Entry 976 - TOGoS's Journal

Yesterday YC and I went biking to Sun Prarie. I had to stop by Mick's and plug in his DSL router. I didn't charge him for that. I suck at making money. After YC and I finally got going we stopped at Yummy Buffet and ate some food. I got really full.

We went up past East Town and stopped at this cool park that had a donut-shaped thing that spun on a track. It was sort of like a thing I had played with in Frankfurt but empty in the middle so you couldn't really stand or lie on it.

Then we biked along Burke road for a while and got all mosquito bitten. There were huge, dense clouds of them everywhere. It was kind of awful. Eventually we got into Sun Prarie and stopped at Wendy's and bought a 99 cent frosty for 1.04$. (I think we need a law that the guy who's selling something has to include the tax in his price, like they seem to do everywhere I went in Europe).

Then we biked home a more northerly route. There were a lot of roundabouts up there and it reminded me of biking in the Netherlands.

Today I went over to see a guy named Eric about his 'can't log into Windows 2000 because he lost the password' problem. I brought with me this program on a boot CD, having tested it at home, but no luck - it either hung when trying to mount the NTFS or mounted it as read-only. Finally he drove me home where I burned a Windows 2000 installation CD and Emergency Boot CD. Emergency Boot CD was very similar to the other program (also Linux-based and even used the same script for resetting the passwords), but was able to mount the NTFS the first time, read-write.

These people ain't exactly rich, so they had me stay for dinner and watch Transformers. I'm to come back on Friday and pick up 25$ and have dinner again. ~__~

Fizz needs to get online so I can make him go rugging with me.
