I was at Woodman's buying Silk and Raisin Bran and other typical groceries. I might have been there with my mom, and she was doing her regular grocery shopping, too. There was something vaguely scary or frustrating about this shopping, like maybe there were storm troopers inside the store. I can't remember what exactly that was.

I was at my parents' house making some canned soup for myself. After emptying the can into a pan I was surprised to read the directions saying to add a can of salt water. So I did, but then the soup in the pan had turned into a spongy thing with plants growing out of it. The plants seemed to really like salt water, because when I poured some on they grew new roots into the spongy stuff.
