South bike trail/beltline/factory area - 2004-05-11 - Entry 463 - TOGoS's Journal

Dreams:

Well I remember one dream where there was this bike path that went southeast of Madison and you could take it all the way to Chicago. I don't know if I was riding my bike or walking. It was a pretty awesome trail. The bike trails and railroad tracks in my dreams are always totally awesome and going awesome places. I remember having a dream probably back before I lost everything in which I went along a bike trail for miles and miles and miles and it went around corners and curled around and did awesome stuff. See also this one, in which the trail gets all muddy and I run into Doug and Liana, this one, in which I drag a rope down the railroad tracks to some town, this recent one, in which we build a railroad track to the moon... and a bunch of others that I can't find.

Anyway, this trail went all the way to Chicago, but it wasn't really that long. I could walk to the end of it. It was a pretty long trip, but not as long as another one that I had gone on. As you approaced Chicago there were fewer trees around but you could see these buildings and towers in the distance to the west and that was kind of neat. Farther north, it went through a woodsy area. The turns were much sharper than the ones on the real bike trails.

Back at home, I bought a gun and started filling it with apple seeds and corn kernels and shooting random stuff with it. Or maybe it was someone else's gun.

Before going south to Illinois, the trail went west for quite a few miles along the north side of the beltline. I had never walked the whole way before, having started out outside of Madison instead of taking the trail. It started out on some roads and stuff, but then I ran into this place where there were these rows of barbed wire fences in this big yellow field with big metal silo-type buildings in it. I climbed over the fences for a while, but I couldn't see an end to this, and thought maybe it wasn't such a good idea to be climbing over people's barbed wire fences. So I flew up in the air and looked down and saw that it wasn't really that far more to go to get back to the road.

I probably woke up and fell back asleep. I had a dream that I was with Dawne and we were going to Toys R Us because she wanted to sell some old RAM she had. Nobody wanted to buy it.
